Mauser EcoHouse Artist Residency provides a health conscious and community minded living experience for the Artists who loves being 'away from it all'.
Lush jungle setting on 1.5 acres of land, our home is secluded, tranquil and inspirational, with fauna, flora and so good to be mentioned, again birds!
Indoor or outdoor shared studio spaces with serene surroundings so that individual or group projects can be worked on and creativity can flourish.
Artists are encouraged to be self-directed in pursuing their personal and creative objectives during their residency.
The property contains numerous indigenous fruit trees, edible plants, herbs and a working greenhouse. Two banana circle composts and five swales are also on the site.
Garden tours of the grounds, medicinal and tropical plants, and our sustainability projects, by our plant-passionate, Foundation Director and co manager, Heather.
Most of the year round,
bodywork, energy healing, and positive self-parenting practices will be offered by our Ama de Casa, Foundation Director and co manager, Kayla.
We welcome and respect artists of all cultures, backgrounds and lifestyles.
We welcome mixed media and installation artists, writers, photographers, jewelry designers, musicians, dancers, editors, painters, and sculptors. We encourage artists with a concentration in other fields to apply, as acceptance into the program will be judged on an individual basis.
